Membrane Filters

Membrane cartridges are typically chosen for their absolute ratings and their guarantee of sharp particle-size cutoff, making them an attractive choice for critical filtrations. Vytal Filtration’s WAT and WBM cartridges are made of asymmetric Polyethersulfone (PES) membranes with polypropylene support layers and cores. The geometry of the PES membrane allows for the absolute filtration of particles down to 0.2 microns while resisting solids buildup and maintaining flow. Vytal Filtration’s PES cartridges are integrity tested and validated during production to ensure performance and consistency. PES membranes are also integrity testable in a production setting to determine whether the cartridge has been compromised or to confirm that a cleaning procedure was effective.

Vytal Filtration also offers the GFPTFE membrane cartridges with hydrophobic PTFE membranes for the filtration of aggressive chemicals, and for the sterile filtration of air for tank vents, and for air or CO2 in fermentation processes.
