Magnesorb
Oleochemical Purification Adsorbent
Magnesorb is a food grade synthetic Magnesium Silicate adsorbent produced by the DALLAS GROUP, and is specifically formulated to purify Oleochemicals made of specialty esters or oils typically used as lubricants or surfactants. Magnesorb will adsorb to soluble particles in the oil to:
- Reduce Total Acid Value
- Remove Glycerin
- Adsorb Heavy Metals, Metal Ions and Metal Catalysts
- Remove Soaps
- Remove Odour
- Reduce Colour
- Remove other Undesirable Polar Contaminants
Magnesorb is available in 50lb paper bags, and is a dry, fine powder with a large surface area to maximize the rate and extent of adsorption of contaminants in the product stream. After adsorption, Magnesorb is completely removed from the treated product by physical filtration.
